The bass owned me

I played this in my car and the bass just destroyed everything it was amazing. Dude this is so good just make it longer and then it'll be $$$$

Wow just wow

I'm really impressed by how many people on newgrounds really have so much talent. Keep it up!

P.S. anyone reading this RECORD LABEL THIS GUY!

TIMarbury responds:

haha thanks so much. I dunno if i'm ready for a record deal :X

NICE

haha cuz I always ask: What plugins were you using man?? This is seriously awesome no joke. I love how it's kinda soft in the beginning then BAM! haha this should be in somebody's game or something. Really though you have good talent. Keep it up!

OpenLight responds:

Thank you!

I use FL Studio 8 and the plugins I use (primarily) are Nexus 2 and the defaults of FL Studio 8. In the mixer, I did the bass effect (sidechaining) by using the peak controller, but it's harder to explain in text than in video form so I suggest looking it up if you don't know how already.

I used Parametric EQ 2 if I'm not mistaken in a few parts of this (in conjunction with automation clips) to make certain fading effects.

The instrument that becomes prominent at 1:04 is called Electric3 and it should be default in the Sytrus section. The second solo was done with that. The first and last were done with some organ synth in Nexus 2. (I can specify what organ it is in a private message if you want.)

I used an automation clip with Phaser at around 2:28.

Uh not sure what else to say haha. I think I could have stopped at Nexus 2 but I figured I may as well say as much as possible. Hope this answers your question!

Thanks again for the review!

Wow!

This is some great stuff man. The piano was beautiful and the builds were fantastic. As far as the bassline goes, it was balanced very well. The phaser could be a bit quieter, but overall this is a phenomenal track. Keep it up!

codbarley responds:

Thanks so much! I still have a lot of nitpicks about it but my computer was built in the stone age so i cant do much else without the computer crashing :/

Nice dawg!

Alright this was pretty good overall. I wasn't too crazy about the end. It lacked some rhythm, like a dinosaur was stomping around. I really liked the gating and the panning though. Great job incorporating the slow melody with the gated saw too! the strings were great, but wha ti think what made it was the reverb. Keep it up!

Omega-Ravager responds:

Thanks, glad you liked it!

Yeah the ending kinda had me stumped, I didn't really know how to end it, I'd just kept building and building and I didn't quite know how to get out , like digging a pit and then not being able to climb out (hence the name. . . sorta)

Lol at stomping dinosaur!
thanks for stopping in,

Omega

I'd also appreciate a listen to some of my other stuff,
I try to listen to everyone's stuff who review too cause I love supporting NGers!

Jeez!

I've been listening to you forever man and I just came on and I was like another one?? All your stuff is in so many online games. I'm so glad you're still coming out with new stuff. So sick. Grats man

Dude NICE!

dang this is so tight! What plugin were you using for your dubstep synth? Even though you said this is your first attempt at dubstep you sound like a natural. I like the kinda trancy elements too it? idk if you can call it that. Keep doing the dubstep man this is awesome!

Lashmush responds:

I'm using Massive with the Threat expansion for the wobbles. I used Massive to complement Absynth 5, Nexus 2 and Vanguard but figured I'd give dubstep a try since Massive is supposed to be great for it.

Thanks for the feedback!

WOW!

Dude! why wasn't this voted and viewed more! This is awesome. Intro and reverb effects are simply amazing. Omg dude!!! :37 NICE! What were the synths you used for those parts??? Wow man this is truly amazing. You remind me of B0UNC3 not sure if you know him but he has styles like this. How did you do the vocal stuff I liked that alot too. Was that you? I can't say how much I like this tune. KEEP EM COMING!

deathnight114 responds:

I only submitted this a while ago, i'm very glad you like it :)
all of the non-pad voices are my actual voice with the pitch corrected a bit. I am planning on doing more vocal stuff in the future but most of my stuff now is just insturmental. Most of the synths used in this were either nexus preset's or made in vanguard. I'm very glad you liked it make sure to check out my youtube page also :)

Real nice

I like the kindy dreamyness of it. Trancy feel almost. 1:10 cutoff around there was awesome. The drums after that are a little overpowering but it's all good. I like the piano and orchestral parts mixed as well. Keep it up man!

ConsciousAutomation responds:

Yeah, unfortunately I was doing this off of my laptop-- not the best computer to do mixes with. Granted, I was hooked into an entertainment system, but... In general, this is not the best piece of production I've done, but at the same time, its not the worst.

Thanks for the review!

What he said man

This is real nice and you show great potential. Keep it up man. You'll get sooo much better as you go along. I really like the builds you have and everything. Sweet song dude.

BlackVen0m4you responds:
